Problem
In FFS section TTO ribbon consumption was high
1.5 rolls per machine per day was consumed

Root Cause
1 Printing gap was 15 mm
2 Economy mode was off in printer
3 Temperature was set to 160 degree
4 Wastage during roll change

Action Taken
1 Gap reduced from 15 mm to 10 mm after QA approval
2 Economy mode and Ribbon saving mode switched ON in Markem printer
3 Temperature reduced from 160 to 135 degree
4 Operator training given for proper handling

Saving Calculation
Before 1.5 rolls per machine per day
After 1.05 rolls per machine per day
Saving 0.45 roll per machine per day
For 4 machines monthly saving is 10500 Rs
Annual saving is 1.26 Lakh Rs
