The Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology  is a symbol of successful partnership between India and the United States. The establishment of this university brought about a revolution in agricultural education, research and extension. It paved the way for setting up of 31 other agricultural universities in the country.

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola was established on 20th October, 1969 with its head-quarter at Akola. This Agricultural University was named after the illustrious son of Vidarbha Dr. Panjabrao (alias Bhausaheb) Deshmukh, who was the Minister for Agriculture,Govt. of India. The jurisdiction of this university is spread over the eleven districts of Vidarbha.

Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya (CGKV) was established by His Excellency the Governor of Chhattisgarh State dated 11th April, 2012 with promulgation of the Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya Act, 2011.

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University popularly known as HAU, is one of Asia's biggest agricultural universities, located at Hisar in the Indian state of Haryana. It is named after India's seventh Prime Minister, Choudhary Charan Singh. It is a leader in agricultural research in India and contributed significantly to Green Revolution and White Revolution in India in the 1960s and 70s. It has a very large campus and has several research centres throughout the state.

Central Agricultural University is an agricultural university at Iroisemba near Imphal in the Indian state of Manipur. The Central Agricultural University was established by an act of Parliament, the Central Agricultural University Act 1992.
